Porthcawl is a leading holiday resort in southern Wales and is home to one of the largest caravan and camping parks in Europe, Trecco Bay.
It has an extensive promenade and several beaches, two of which are Blue Flag beaches: a tourist-oriented beach at Trecco Bay, at the east end of the town; a sandy beach at Rest Bay, which lies to the northwest of the town; and the quiet and sandy Pink bay leading out towards Sker point.
Porthcawl is ideally situated to access all areas of mid Wales, 20 mins from Swansea, 20 mins from Cardiff and 90 mins from the Brecon Beacons, an ideal place for a holiday.
There's something for everyone at the park, whatever the weather, from Jungle Jim's indoor adventure playground and mini ten-pin bowling to a round of crazy golf at Cap'n Jacks. With so much on offer it's easy to see why the park is so popular throughout the season.
The Splashland Tropical indoor pool complex, complete with its slides, chutes and waterfalls is great for children. With a safe shallow end for toddlers, it's a perfect place for the whole family to join in the fun.
At Trecco Bay there's an unrivalled choice of entertainment for the whole family with bands, cabaret, competitions, bingo and a late night disco. The park has a 1200 seater showdome, over 18's bar and a teen disco (on Friday & Saturday) which means there is something for everyone!
The surrounding Glamorgan Heritage Coastline has a choice of sandy beaches and beautiful bays, you can even access Trecco Bay's Blue Flag beach from the park.
